Apparently this particular Elvis I was in search of is quite rotund and does an excellent impersonation of The King. Rumor has it he frequents the piano bar at “The Flamingo” and “Harrah’s” on Fridays. With only this half-assed information to go on, we knew he was somewhere in this city and it was on us to find him.

Las Vegas: Visiting Hoover Dam in a Pink Jeep
We had just finished our morning coffee and were trying to decide what we wanted to do for our last day in Vegas as we had already walked the entirety of the strip and had a number of unique experiences. Running a quick Google search for excursions, I stumbled across a tour group called, “Pink Jeep Adventures.”
Las Vegas: VRBO in Vegas
There is just something about Las Vegas. Like a moth to a flame, I just keep being drawn back. Unfortunately, due to the current travel restrictions in place both Kris and I will not be spending Thanksgiving at the MGM Signature this year.
Urban Deer in Austin, TX
As an example of an unanticipated photo-op, I was finishing up for the day at work and happened to peer out the window and saw a couple deer lounging under the shade of the oaks beside a dried creek bed.
Paradise is a Beach in Honduras
Imagine lounging on the beach under the shade of palms, the sounds of waves gently lapping along the shoreline all the while sipping on an ice cold domestic beer with a little lime wedge bobbing around inside. During this semi-seaside-siesta, you spot local children peddling conch shells and an old man with a small monkeyContinue reading “Paradise is a Beach in Honduras”
Photography at 40,000 ft.
Doesn’t that person snapping photos from the window on an airplane annoy the hell out of you? Well, if they do… I’ll offer an apology to you right now cause that person is me. I’ve always loved the perspective, and find that some pretty amazing images can be captured during commercial flight. Over the yearsContinue reading “Photography at 40,000 ft.”
DTW… A Royal Layover
What, you’re writing about a layover in Detroit? Yes I am, and for a very good reason. I simply love the “Wayne County Airport,” known as DTW. Oftentimes on trips back home to New Hampshire I cheap out and avoid direct flights and instead stop off either in Atlanta or Detroit. Now, if I haveContinue reading “DTW… A Royal Layover”
Isla Pasión
At one time or another I think everyone dreams about a white sand tropical island getaway. Kris and I were fortunate enough to have lived the dream a few years back when we visited the enchanting Isla Pasión out of the port of Cozumel Mexico.
“Security to the 34th Floor,” a JW Marriott Story
Having 34 floors to explore as well as a rooftop spa, I was on my way to some fun times and hopefully great pictures. I should mention that I was attending a full-day dental conference so I would only have short periods of time for exploration during breaks and lunch. Without going into too much detail as it relates to the conference, breaks came early and often.
Lake Pflugerville Sunrise
I woke up early this morning with the intention of taking a quick drive down to the lake in town to get some photos of the sunrise over the water. Lake Pflugerville is a man-made lake in town that, if I’m not mistaken, is about three miles in size. The lake also has a pleasantContinue reading “Lake Pflugerville Sunrise”
